  I visited the lakeside store today and was served by Delia. She went above and beyond with customer service to help me with an Issue I had with some sunglasses. She was so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend the lakeside branch

  Great experience! I got my sunglasses tightened for free. The guy was so sweet, talked so with so much kindness, he knew his products when asked if we were interested in purchasing the sunglasses spray. I would definitely come back and visit this store again!

  There were three staff members standing at the front of the store, but not a single one greeted us when I came in with my daughter and son, yesterday Saturday 22nd Aug. I looked over several times to try to get their attention because I wanted to check stock availability and sizes for the Rayban RB2140, but none of them acknowledged us. There was no eye contact, no greeting, and no offer to help, even though they seemed to acknowledge other customers. In the end, we left because of the poor customer service experience and bought the item from John Lewis instead. Even though they didn’t have it in stock and we had to wait for delivery, we were happy to do so. We also paid a little more, but we would rather spend our money with John Lewis, where the customer service was much better.

  Honestly one of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the second I walked into Sunglass Hut at Lakeside, the atmosphere felt incredibly unwelcoming. The staff were extremely pushy, but somehow also dismissive at the same time. I felt like I was being judged from the moment I walked through the door, rather than treated like an actual customer. The whole experience gave me the impression that they had already made assumptions about me before I’d even had a chance to look around. I also felt very much like I was being class stereotyped and pushed aside. There was a really uncomfortable sense that I wasn’t considered the “right sort” of customer for the store, which is honestly a horrible feeling when you’re simply trying to shop. The staff came across as intimidating and judgemental rather than friendly or helpful, and there was absolutely no effort to make me feel comfortable or welcome. I left feeling embarrassed and annoyed rather than excited about buying anything. Customer service shouldn’t depend on how someone looks, dresses or comes across. Everyone walking into your store should be treated with the same basic level of respect. Needless to say, I won’t be rushing back.
